My passion for spin started off rather tragically. My first spin class I pushed way to hard and ended up tearing the muscles above my knees to the point where it was PAINFUL to walk up stairs (I scooted up on my butt) for weeks. I didn't know if I would ever get back on the bike... After a few months, I decided to give it a try (and pedal within my limits this time!). I warmed up to the idea and was eager to go again. Fast forward a few years, we moved and had to find a new studio close to our new place; that's when I was introduced to a spin instructor who made me fall in LOVE with spin on a whole other level. Within a year, I wanted to teach; she turned the small flame into a raging bonfire. From there, I took some fitness courses and worked towards my Group Fitness Instructor certification with a Indoor Cycling focus. Ever since then, I have loved being on the bike!
